Membership Site: Wishlist Member vs Kajabi

Kajabi vs Wishlist - Which One is Better for You?
Membership sites are all the rage these days. You have PLR memberships, software memberships, fixed-term memberships and coaching programs just to name a few models.
Having been a prospect, customer and a site owner, I can tell you my preferences. If you are running your site on wordpress and want to turn it into a membership site or add a membership area to it, wishlist member is probably all you would need.
Wishlist is quite stable, easy to use and has all the functionality you would need. You do need to have hosting, bandwidth and wordpress and it can get a little technical for some folks. Their support is top notch and because they have a very good market penetration, you will find tons of articles and tips online.
Kajabi is the new kid in town. As I am writing this, it is being released. Now I do have some insight on it as I have been a customer of some products that were released on Kajabi. From the customer side, I can tell you that it is fantastic. I do believe, one could make wishlist behave similarly but that would take a serious investment of time, effort and perhaps money.
The promo video hinted that it is based on a ruby on rails architecture which is good. I really like Ruby as a language and would any day pick it over php. But, whats under the hood is not really that important to someone using it.
The best part about Kajabi is that everything was designed with push button ease. You can easily create squeeze pages, launch funnels, membership sites and more using it. It has a bunch of plugins that will let you do everything you need to put a product out.
The claim is, if you have an idea and know how to want to deliver it, it has everything you need for the delivery. What is impressive is that it will host everything you need as well, including high-bandwidth videos.
As I am writing this, the price has not been revealed but may get done soon enough. It would be fair to say that I cannot compare pricing right now. One thing I do like very much about wishlist member is the unlimited site licence one can get fairly inexpensively. That is one of the reasons it is so popular.
Now lets go on a head to head comparison

Conclusion
Wishlist will solve a majority of your needs but does need you to have some tech skills or a technical person available on staff. The good news is, you could easily get someone fairly inexpensively even if you outsource. The pricing is right.
Kajabi sounds pretty awesome but I think one will have to wait and see. To get a quick preview of whats available, you could watch the video introducing it.
